The modification scene has never been larger or so sought after as it is currently. Creators who crafted new mechanics for iconic titles such as Skyrim and Baldur’s Gate III have secured prominent roles in the industry. Complete titles have been built leveraging prior work. Someone even figured out how to make Silksong somewhat more accessible.
Truly, in this era, everything appears achievable with an idea, coding skills, and a little gumption. Therefore, it’s expected that an increasing number of companies is aiming to assist that constantly increasing modification scene, and that our partners at Fextralife are getting in on the action. This week, the resource hub declared it would broaden its services with FXMods, a “brand-new gaming mod platform designed for users who desire a fast, no-cost, and unlimited customizations to enhance their favorite games.
FXMods promises to be a free platform with unrestricted download rates, instant access, and linkage with the comprehensive Fextralife resource network, which aims to allow creators to obtain increased recognition as users find their downloadables among other content.
What is the vision for FXMods? I questioned the Fextralife representative Matt Hook, who has been deeply involved in guiding the expansion.
The core of our effort is really trying to focus on the community’s needs,” Hook says. “We want a superb interaction for mod users to be able to access modifications promptly and conveniently, and we want to compensate content developers and participants in the scene with credit and benefits.”
